The Customer Experience in the Digital Era

Prof. Janusz Filipiak
Founder, CEO and President of the Management Board of Comarch SA
Janusz Filipiak holds the title of Professor in technical sciences. He completed managerial courses in Japan and conducted research projects in Australia, Canada and the United States. He is an author of over one hundred publications and six books on data transmission and teleinformatics.
In the 1990s, he was an ordinary professor at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. By the age of 39, he had been awarded the title of Professor by the President of the Republic of Poland.
He established Comarch – the first Polish company based on knowledge in 1993.
Professor Filipiak has received many honors for outstanding contributions to the development of telecommunications and information technology and achievements in charity and social activities. In 2004, he was honoured by the President of the Republic of Poland with the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, and in 2012 with the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. In 2013, he received the prestigious IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Industry Leader Award 2012 for his contribution to the development of the communications industry and IT technologies. In 2016, the President of the Republic of Poland recognised Janusz Filipiak for his service to Polish business, by awarding him an Individual Prize.
